Principal Product Designer

Imagine Learning Classroom, Remote, Feb 2023 - Present

• Restructured the bookmarking feature for saving and organizing bookmarked content
• Introduced color system for use in Backpack UI theming
• Worked with Product Managers to establish a roadmap that promoted transparency to the team
• Refactored components that were misused in production & provided clear use cases for proper use

Senior Product Designer

Imagine Learning Classroom, Remote, March 2021 - Feb 2023

• Architected & maintained v1 of the Backpack UI Design System that gave designers and engineers a shared language around design tokens and production components
• Decreased the time teachers spend grading via an experience overhaul that allows for quicker scoring and student navigation
• Designed and co-implemented Annotation tools that allow teachers to draw/add shapes directly onto our lesson cards during classroom instruction
• Establishing design best practices for our team. Focusing on improving the teacher and student experiences by expanding upon existing features and adding new functionality to our platform.
